This machine operates very quickly. Once a roll has been filled it is pushed out for the operator to close the roll and insert a new roll. The machine does request preformed wrappers. The machine did clog up a couple times when I dumped in all nickels but otherwise no clogging.

Just finished wrapping about $700 worth of assorted coins. Mostly pennies. The wife hoards coins which is a great idea. About 4 months ago she told me to put them in her bank account. I looked at the work involved. Couldn’t even lift it. Had to roll the vase on its side to get the coins out. Like Scrooge McDuck said, “Work smarter not harder”. So I searched for a coin sorter. Our credit union used to have one in the lobby but they disconnected it. Stated they had to repair it too often. Looked for a coin star but none in my neighborhood and couldn’t find one. So decided had to buy one so surfed the internet. They were really expensive. Finally found one on sale that met my wallet. Churned out about $200 worth the first night. Took about 4 hours. Would have been faster if I would have sorted and cleaned the coins first. Should have been more careful buttons, bent coins, $1 coins and Kennedy half dollars got in the way. Had to wash my hands and some of the coins several times because of dirt and goo. Being lazy at first I grabbed hand fulls and dumped them in the hopper. Tried to be careful but still some junk coins got by. Tap the side and they fell free. But had to take it apart a few times because of damaged, dirty and wrong sized coins. Even when you are careful the wrong coins get by. Just turn the power off, unplug the cord, remove 3 screws and clear the jam. So this weekend processed about $500 worth. More careful so took a little longer. The sorter is fast, real fast. I believe the 312 coins a minute is true but make sure every thing is clean, the right size and not damaged. Faster then I liked at times. Found that if I tossed in several at a time worked best. Had more pennies than any other coin so when put in a handful the pennies were running over each other. Removed the preformed wrappers because of it. It was easier because sometimes the pennies jumped in the dimes tube because they were bumping into each other and couldn’t get in the wrapper fast enough. This way I could check them before wrapping. Foreign coins can be a problem because of the odd sizes will cause jams or go down the wrong slot. In closing it was worth the cost. Just sort out the damaged, dirty and wrong size coins first. If you have more pennies than any other coin like I did toss in a few at a time so the slot won’t be overwhelmed. When the penny tube was almost full I would slow down to prevent jamming because the coins would push each other. Don’t try to put all the coins in at once and everything should work fine. Durable? Tougher than I thought it would be and I have several more tip jars to do. We’ll see. I like it a lot.

I just received this and dumped a big pile of change into it and it sorted through everything like a champ! I own a small ice cream shop and wait 10 – 15 minutes almost every night for the kids to sort and count their tips. I expect this little machine to pay for itself within 3 months by saving labor and counting errors. Seems to be very sturdily built, but time will tell how well it holds up to teenagers.

This coin sorter workes great. We sorted almost $200 worth of coins. No jams, smooth operation, coins went into wrappers with no problem (used pre formed wrappers as recommended), no coins went into the wrong wrapper. We loaded the coin bin with as many coins as it would hold and there were no operational issues. Overall, a high quality product.

I was very impressed by this machine. It is the first one I used that can handle a large number of coins at once. The 4 slots for coins is an unexpected asset. In particular, when you have more of one type of coin, this comes in realy handy. The only down side I found for this machine is in how it handles irregular coins. Only being able to count 1, 5, 10 and 25 cent coins is nice, but it should have a way to eject the dollar or non US coins without unscrewing the top of the machine. Not a big issue and I still highly recommend this product.

While this product sorts (and counts) coins very well, it will not automatically toss aside non supported coins or foreign currency. It will occasionally jam, which is very easy to fix, and requires a bit of watching.
It does over all an excellent job, and I am quite pleased with this product. As each tube fills out (the machine goes by count, so if you reset the counter REMEMBER TO EMPTY THE TUBES!!) it is pushed forward. As it fills the 4th of any denomination, it beeps for attention.
All in all, a great solution for light to moderate commercial useage.

We purchased this machine to wrap change that we have been saving for almost 10 years! It works GREAT, and rarely gets stuck, as long as you use preformed wrappers. So far we have wrapped $1,000 in about 3 hours. It is well worth puchasing the preformed wrappers. I tried using flat wrappers, but it takes forever. When using flat wrappers, you use the sorter and let the change fall into the tubes, and then you have to try and get them into the wrapper manually from the tube. It sounds easy, but it is not – I spent up to 15 minutes trying to get them into one wrapper. When using preformed wrappers, you slip the wrappers into the tubes and the coins drop directly into the wrappers. All you do is fold the end, taking about 2 seconds. This machine is a great investment if you are willing to purchase preformed wrappers, which are less than $10 for an assortment pack.

I bought one of these on a whim at Sam’s Club for $89.95. The only problem I’ve really had so far was figuring out how to get the dollar coins out that were going around and around in it.
The book that came with it had the first 4 pages of English in twice so of course the last 4 pages of Spanish in twice. The middle of the book is missing. I’ll bet that’s where the solution to the problem is. It wasn’t very hard to figure it out though.
I have a Texas Mickey whiskey bottle that gave me a severe headache years ago. That is where my change goes. When I’m in a store I never take any change out of my pocket, even if I only need a nickel. I give them a dollar instead and the change goes in the bottle that night. It’s amazing how fast it accumulates. There is about $700.00 in it when it is half full. When it is so heavy I’m afraid the bottom will break out or I need money, I count it and take it to the bank. Before my count was never the same as the banks and it took forever to count all of it. Now the count is the same. I guess a person gets careless after a few hundred dollars of hand counting.
The banks where I am do not accept rolled coins, at least from individuals, they just break them open and throw them in their counting machine so it is pointless to roll them.
I imagine the $1000+ machines are faster but I think this one is well worth the money. One of the rare times a machine got to count what it was paying for (credit card payment).

i have used 2 machiens by this manufacture, the non computerized 2 coin version and this one. the 4 tube automated sorter is great it reduces errors in counting and ensures that only the proper amount is in each tube. this sorter also stops when all 4 tubes are full to stop overflow a real nice feature for the busy person.
i would definately buy another

Excellent product–sure am glad I bought it. If it broke tomorrow, I would be mad, but would buy another the same day.
